Pinnacle Targa 3000
Uncompressed Editing, Lots of Real Time Features

To really appreciate the Pinnacle Targa 3000 (T3K), you need to keep one word in mind: uncompressed. Yes, the T3K has IEEE1394 (a.k.a. Firewire/i.Link) inputs and outputs, but it makes little sense to restrict a T3K-based system to the compressed quality of the DV format. You might as well buy a Porsche and use it just for runs to the grocery store. John Stewart took the T3K out for a spin, and discovered that it can be a champ on any kind of track.

Don't get me wrong: We like Macs here at the Midwest Test Facility. But I'm just annoyed at secrecy-obsessed CEO Steve Jobs' legendary "reality distortion field," where the truth is often obscured by hyperbolic evangelism.
